Leavitt defended the situation when intelligence leaders were asked about the details in the chat, which accidentally included The Atlantic editor Jeff Goldberg.

She has helped shape strategic decisions for companies like Nike and Mars, Inc., and served as a senior advisor for gender strategy to Melinda Gates’ executive office.
Reeves also directed the International Fund for Women and Girls at the U.S. Department of State, working under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.
According to Leavitt, her main fault seemed to be this role she held at the time.
