Dropkick Murphys’ Ken Casey Calls Out MAGA Fan At Boston Show As Band Faces Suspension From X

Ken Casey, the lead vocalist of the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys, didn’t hide his thoughts about a fan who showed up at their Boston concert wearing a MAGA hat.

Well, Ken Casey started by criticizing the fan for wearing a MAGA hat, saying that Republicans often wear a “Chinese red” version, which he believes is affecting their opinion.

He then addressed the fan directly, asking the crowd how they would know if they were in a room full of people and wanted to identify who was part of a group.

He pointed to the fan, noting that the fan had been holding the hat all night to show support for the president.

Casey finished by shouting that America has no kings and that everyone should remember that.

As the crowd cheered, Casey told the fan that they were about to play a song dedicated to their grandparents and those who fought Nazis in the war.

He then asked the fan to be quiet for a few minutes.

The band has previously targeted Trump supporters during their shows.

For example, in March, in Clearwater, Florida, Casey made news for calling out a fan wearing MAGA gear and joking that his items were probably not made in the United States.

Casey explained that they speak out because they don’t mind losing fans.

He emphasized that, in the end, they want people to remember that the Dropkick Murphys stood with the people and the workers, calling everything else a scam.

He also proudly mentioned that the band only sells merchandise made in the United States.

He proposed a bet to the fan, saying that if the fan lost, they would swap shirts, but if the fan won, he’d give them $100 and the shirt.

When the fan accepted, Casey said the shirt was made in Nicaragua, joking,

“He’s taking the shirt off. We’re taking crime off the streets.”

However, fans are outraged after Dropkick Murphys was suspended from X (formerly Twitter).
